The media, unlike any other element of our society, has unlimited access to the facts that govern the government, and therefore, the people. And after all, its the people that are supposed to rule the roost, according to our Framers. But increasingly, the media has been presenting facts in incomplete fashion, or worse, by having "unbiased reporters" report in editorializing fashion. This is common on CNN and less so on Fox (where E.D. Hill is a big offender) but nowhere is it as severe an affliction as it is on MSNBC with Keith Olbermann. Olbermann recently suggested that President Bush "gp to hell." This unprofessional behavior transends even the blatant misreporting that continually goes on in this business. Who can forget when the media came out against FEMA's head, Mike Brown, who headed an agency that was grossly underfunded by Congress for years. Missteps by Louisiana state and local leaders led to loss of life and property, but because they were Democrats, Mike Brown got the blame. The media's love affair with Obama has been nothing short of outrageous. Racist remarks that aim to bury Hillary, foundless comparisons that aim to derail McCain, and scant reporting on Obama's flubbs and fluffs are just the icing on the rancid cake that is the media. Rush Limbaugh calls them the "drive-by media," amongst other appelations. This insult is turning out to be mild. Is there any doubt over their continuing insincerity? The media has steered away from truthful reportiing in the critical area of Islamofascism. They have intentionally underreported comments by Iraqi and Islamic experts like Daniel Pipes, Yaron Brook, and Robert Spencer, yet they readily report the left-leaning opinion of CNN's Iraq "expert" Tony Cordesman. who spends far more time reporting on high-end audio equipment in the undeground audio journals than he does on Iranian meddling in Iraq. What the heck is this guys day-job? The leftward bias has reached pandemic proportions, yet the average American takes little notice. All they hear is "change" and they think Obama. All I hear is loose change, and when I listen a little more closely, I hear loose marbles. The American public needs to grow up and pay better attention to the process, or they will get far less than they bargained for in 2009, with untold damage to our County's 'fabric" thrown in for "bad measure."
